Dr. Scottsdale® is the Model for Plastic Surgery

Share

Finding a plastic surgeon who genuinely cares about you as a person and wants you to experience all of the changes you want in an ethical and minimally invasive way is very rare. The plastic surgery industry has exploded in popularity due to the influence of social media and other things, and there are many less than qualified practitioners who are more than willing to put people under the knife for procedures that are sometimes unnecessary and even potentially dangerous. In a lot of ways the plastic surgery world can feel ambiguous and like a Wild West of sorts, and it’s easy to get lost.

Dr. Carlos Mata, also known as Dr. Scottsdale®, is one of the nation’s leading plastic surgeons. Part of what makes his practice, Natural Results Plastic Surgery, special is that he is personally deeply invested into the psychology behind why someone wants to make a bodily change, and he’s able to help each client visualize their desired change and anticipate what they want, sometimes even when they can’t fully explain it themselves. This intuitive, personal approach is very different from the “Wild West” world of most plastic surgery, where practitioners are ready at a moment’s notice to cut and slice without any sense of connection to the person there helping.

Dr. Mata explains his journey:

“I was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, and raised in El Paso Texas. I graduated high school with honors and attended Texas A&M University in College Station on a full scholarship. There I earned a degree in biomedical science with cum laude honors. I then went to The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas for medical school. Upon graduation, I did my plastic surgery training at the University of Texas Medical Branch, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, Saint Joseph’s Medical Center, and Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. I did cosmetic training in Miami, Florida. Upon graduating as a plastic surgeon, I entered the US Army. Military training taught me how to be focused, detail-oriented, and gave me the opportunity to learn more about disfiguring human body issues. Once, I separated from the military I moved to AZ, and two years later.  I opened up my own office here in Scottsdale, AZ. I am proud of being able to balance my personal life with my amazing kids & wife and operating and running my own business.”

“My work started because I wanted to help people feel better about themselves, regardless of the cause. I worked very hard in school, college, and medical school, studying 24/7 and focusing on what I wanted to be: a plastic surgeon.”

Dr. Scottsdale® ‘s expanded his practice and welcomed Martin Benjamin, MD, a Manhattan dual-trained Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Benjamin focuses on helping his patients achieve their surgical and desired body goals while fully dedicating himself to their safety. He has over 10 years of experience in general and plastic surgery, and offers a wide range of procedures.

Dr. Benjamin has a particular interest in Rhinoplasty that he developed during his Manhattan training days with one of the most renowned rhinoplasty specialists in the USA. He offers rhinoplasty for both cosmetic (open and close incision) and corrective (breathing issues) reasons. Facial rejuvenation, such as eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), Body contouring (liposuction, tummy tuck, Brazilian Butt Lift) and breast surgery (breast lift) are just some of the procedures Dr. Benjamin offers.

“Less is more. Doing minimally invasive surgery, if it can get a reasonable result compared to full blown surgery, is much better, and not to mention, the cost is less as well!” Dr. Scottsdale® explains.

Dr. Scottsdale® has a unique term for what he and Dr. Benjamin do. “I consider myself a surgical psychologist. I help people feel better about themselves mentally. I think that I am able to balance what they see with what they want to see, especially in their brain.”

As for Dr. Scottsdale®’s thoughts on the future of plastic surgery? He’s highly optimistic.

“I think plastic surgery will never stop growing. With COVID and the explosion of social media, like TikTok, plastic surgery is becoming more popular and people are not ashamed of talking about it anymore.”
