As summer nears, the big networks and streaming services are debuting new and exciting TV shows, movies, and specials for viewers to enjoy. This weekend alone features the premieres of exciting new movies and series.

HollywoodLife has rounded up the key things to watch this weekend. There’s a wide range of new content coming out, including the premiere of the action thriller Without Remorse starring Michael B. Jordan. Bethenny Frankel returns to TV with a new reality series, while American Idol tackles the beloved Disney Night and reveals the top 7 finalists. Here’s a list of notable movies and TV shows to watch from April 30 to May 2 across networks and streaming services.

Michael B. Jordan stars in his very first action thriller, playing Sr. Chief John Kelly in Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse. The movie is available on Amazon Prime Video starting April 30. Michael’s character is an elite Navy SEAL who uncovers an international conspiracy while seeking justice for the murder of his pregnant wife. John For those of you who are hardcore Tom Clancy fans, this film is an origin story of action hero John Clark from the Jack Ryan universe. Without Remorse also stars Jamie Bell, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lauren London, Brett Gelman, Jacob Scipio, Jack Kesy, Colman Domingo, Todd Lassance, Cam Gigandet, Luke Mitchell, and Guy Pearce.

Bethenny Frankel is back on TV! She’s left The Real Housewives of New York behind, but she’s got her own show now. The Big Shot with Bethenny premiered April 29 on HBO Max. The reality series follows the next generation of business moguls who will compete for a chance to be second-in-command to business tycoon and Skinnygirl founder and win a coveted position working on her executive team. As we all know, Bethenny never settles for anything less than excellence. With real-life tasks and challenges, these aspiring moguls will be tested to see how far they can push their creativity and determination to rise to the top.

The acclaimed STARZ anthology series returns for season 3 on May 2 with a two-episode series premiere. This season, The Girlfriend Experience is set in the London tech scene. Iris is a neuroscience major who begins to explore the transactional world of The Girlfriend Experience, only to find herself deep inside the uncanny valley with the relationships she creates. Iris quickly discovers that her client sessions provide her with a compelling edge in the tech world and vice versa. She heads down a deep path of exploration over the course of the season. The Affair alum Julia Goldani Telles stars as Iris in season 3.

The Story of Late Night is a new CNN Original Series that explores the origins of late-night television. The series premieres May 2 at 9 p.m. ET on CNN. The new series takes a look at the impact that famed late-night hosts like Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, and David Letterman had on television. While they made us laugh while the cameras were rolling, there was a lot that went on behind the scenes. The Story of Late Night explores what you didn’t see on television and the future of late-night.

The Mosquito Coast is a new Apple TV+ series that premieres globally on April 30 with two episodes. The drama series is an adaptation of the best-selling novel, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The series follows the dangerous journey of a radical idealist and inventor Allie Fox, who uproots his family for Mexico. They soon find themselves on the run from the U.S. government. Justin Theroux stars in the series, alongside Melissa George, Logan Polish, and Gabriel Bateman. New episodes will drop every Friday on Apple TV+.

Things Heard & Seen is a new Netflix film that debuted on April 29. The movie centers around a Manhattan couple who moves to a historic hamlet in the Hudson Valley and come to discover that their marriage has a sinister darkness, one that rivals their new home’s history. The film is based on the acclaimed novel by Elizabeth Brundage. Things Heard & Seen stars Oscar nominee Amanda Seyfried, James Norton, and Natalia Dyer.

Blessed be. The Handmaid’s Tale returned for season 4 on April 27 by dropping the first 3 episodes early. The fourth season picks up in the wake of the success of June’s grand plan to get dozens of children out of Gilead. The premiere introduces viewers to Mrs. Keyes, played by 14-year-old standout Mckenna Grace. June and other handmaids seek refuge with Mrs. Keyes and her husband, but things quickly go awry. If you haven’t seen the first set of episodes, we won’t give anything else away, but the third episode of season 4 is a doozy. Season 4 series regulars include Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, O-T Fagbenle, Amanda Brugel, Bradley Whitford, and Sam Jaeger. New episodes will drop weekly on Hulu.

The first season of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has come to an end, but Disney+ still has some Marvel goodness for us to enjoy. Assembled: The Making of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier debuted April 30 on Disney+. In the episode, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and other cast and crew take fans inside the making of the hit series. Viewers will learn how the roots of these two characters reach as far back as Captain America: The Winter Soldier and their journey since then. The creative minds behind the series also break down the rich storylines featured in the series and how the epic action was filmed.

The new film Biography: “Macho Man” Randy Savage premieres May 2 at 8 p.m. ET on A&E. The movie tells the larger-than-life story of the WWE legend, who won 2 WWE Championships, 4 WCW World Championships, and had a 14-month reign as Intercontinental Champion. Hulk Hogan and Ricky Steamboat are featured in the film and discuss Macho Man and Ricky’s famous match at Wrestlemania 3, which upstaged the main event of Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant.
‘American Idol’

It’s the most magical American Idol episode of the season! American Idol’s Disney Night will air May 2 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. The episode will kick off with the results of the Comeback show. After the big reveal, the top 9 will travel to Walt Disney World for a one-on-one session with celebrity mentor John Stamos. The top 10, including the Comeback winner, will perform a song from the esteemed Disney songbird in hopes of securing America’s vote. The top 7 finalists will be revealed at the end of the episode.
